They used the drug Aloxi (palonosetron)to prevent nausea and vomiting. This was a new drug at the time, not available everywhere. UCLA Medical center put the drug right in her IV (it is a long acting formula and prevents nausea and vomiting for up to 5 days.) This medication was very effective; although my daughter had severe exhaustion for a few days after her chemo treatments, she had no vomiting nor nausea, only some slight queasiness occasionally.Jannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17113091058404094475noreply@blogger.com
